Packet Pad enables users to monitor Packet Radio transmissions on their iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch effortlessly. By placing your device next to a radio and tuning in to a Packet frequency, you can easily observe the decodes. For enhanced decode quality, simply connect a patch cable from your radio's audio output to the microphone jack.
Furthermore, the app conveniently displays Raw APRS (Automatic Packet Reporting System) packets as well. Users have the option to save received text for later viewing or transfer it to a computer using iTunes.
It’s important to note that Packet Pad exclusively decodes 1200 baud packet signals and functions as a receive-only platform, as it does not support packet transmission capabilities.
